So 247Highway are in the best position to keep your website up and running and open for business and we can do that with one of our unique Web Management Plans. This Web Management Care Plan service is NOT JUST A HOSTING PLAN - that is only a small fraction of the services included.
Time is a limited commodity - good web developers like 247highway are working flat out these days and it doesn't look like that's going to change in a hurry. So we have made our web management packages available by application only.
So, in all honesty, we're only interested in working with clients who understand the value that their website adds to their business and are serious about their long-term growth and profitability.
Your Website Is Critical To Your Business
The greatest myth in Internet marketing is: "If you build it they will come."
Your website should be earning you money.
It generates leads, customers and revenue (or at least it should). It's a channel through which customers, suppliers, potential new staff and partners will find you and engage with you.
As a marketing investment, your website is not on the world wide web as "a cultural art experience" or to provide free information; it’s advertising.
Your website is core to the success of your online marketing strategy and you want peace of mind that it will be up and available for your visitors 24/7 without interruption.
A website is no longer a "set and forget" part of your business. It is a living, breathing strategic marketing tool that needs constant attention to flourish and grow, bring you new customers & deliver a solid return on your investment.
Building a website is easy in comparison to maintaining it. The important work actually starts AFTER your website launch.
All software needs updating.
Just like Microsoft Office and your smartphone software needs updating, so too does your website. As technology evolves, website software is constantly being updated to make it more secure, faster and more visible to search engines.
Out-of-date website software not only invites trouble but penalties from search engines like Google. And if Google's not happy – nobody is happy. Really – you won’t be happy if you’re penalized by Google… trust us.
More importantly, your website is a marketing tool for your business and therefore requires extra care to make sure it continues to perform its' intended purpose.
More and more websites are getting hacked and attacked, including the big players like Twitter and Facebook as well as millions of small businesses every day. Ransomware, anyone? It's the nature of the world we live in and unfortunately websites are an easy target.
The internet is no place to be unprotected and without regular maintenance, your site is vulnerable to hackers and their trickery.
All Software Is Vulnerable
The internet is no place to be unprotected.
What's with all this ongoing technical maintenance?
Life is full of little jobs that aren’t particularly fun to do, but things get ugly if you don’t.
Ongoing Technical Maintenance
Brush your teeth. Pick up your socks. Make your bed. Wash the dishes. Life is full of lots of little jobs that aren’t particularly fun to do, but things get ugly if you don’t.
Maintaining a website is just the same - there are certain things that must be done. Neglect them, and bad things may happen:
- Your site may load as slow as molasses.
- Important functionality might break into a hundred pieces.
- Your visitors’ computers may be infected with malware or hacked.
- Your site may be blacklisted by search engines.
- Your site will become outdated and outmoded.
How long does maintenance take? Everyone’s site is different, and your maintenance priorities will be different too. Here are our recommended task lists. Feel free to use them and adjust them to your needs ... or better yet, just give all those tasks to the clever support team at 247highway and have peace of mind knowing they are being quickly and properly done.

- Uptime monitoring: Visit your site throughout the day to make sure all the pages are loading correctly. If your server goes down, contact your ISP for assistance.
- Backup and Security: Perform a daily offsite backup of the WordPress files and databases, especially your blog articles and images. Don't let your hosting company tell you that 1 backup is enough.

- Webmaster tools. Use these tools from the various search engines to monitor messages and resolve errors.

After you have completed your maintenance checklists ... remember that you still have to do your SEO, create content, post to Social Media and other regular marketing.
Who will be running your business while you are doing the technical stuff?
Do It Yourself?
But can’t I do it myself, you ask? Sure … you could do it yourself. Any novice can update their plugins, but it takes years of WordPress experience to know when an update is likely to break something.
Then you need to know how to fix the site if things go wrong. Updates are better left to the professionals.
Keeping your website up-to-date, backed up and secure can be time consuming and a little (lot!) of tedious tasks. It takes you away from what you should be doing, which is building relationships with your customers, staff and partners.
The technology continues to evolve and there is no way you can keep abreast of all the trends and developments - nor should you - instead of spending precious time learning all about plugins, technology updates and malware scans, take that time to make your own business truly take off.
We'll do all the "heavy-lifting" technical things you don't want to do so you can just enjoy being a superhero to your customers.
We just know that you have better things to do ... like sell your products and services, provide top-flight customer service, and make plans for making your second million.
Do it yourself?
How great would it be to not have to worry about all the technical stuff?
